All We Want to Shoot is a…Hot Air Balloon -again- {Olga + Seyla, Temecula Engagement Session}

At the beginning of our career we were given the advice to, “Only show what you would like to shoot…” It took us a while to really understand the full meaning of that statement because in the beginning of our career we would shoot ANYTHING.  We were so eager to get out there…eager to use our cameras for anything and everything.  The only problem was…we didn’t necessarily like to shoot EVERYTHING.  Our passion was and always has been weddings.  So, we took a leap of faith and started to turn-down projects that weren’t wedding related.  It was at that point that something started to happen…our clientele changed.

Fast forward a few years, we decide we want to shoot a Hot Air Balloon.  So, we do.  It gets featured in Green Wedding Shoes and we think, “Hey that was fun!” never fully expecting to experience that magical hot air balloon in my shoot feeling again.  But then, something happened…Olga and Seyla.

Olga and Seyla booked us for their wedding this fall and wanted to have an engagement session with us before then.  When we started planning out their session they mentioned they wanted to use the hot air balloon.  To say we were excited would be a HUGE understatement.  We were excited times 100!!  And that’s when it happened, we remembered the advice we were given so many years ago.

Olga and Seyla- we just want to thank you SO much for taking us back and reminding us to stay true to ourselves and never stop dreaming.  Your session meant more to us than you could ever truly know.  We are SO happy for the two of you and are looking forward to your wedding this November!! Congrats!!!

Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

A Library Engagement Session {Lauren + Paul, Temecula Engagement Photographer}

One of our favorite things to do is to find out everything we can about our couples.  We love getting know who they outside of “bride” and “groom”.  We love to know how they met, where they work, what their hobbies are, the colors of their homes, what their interests are, how they got engaged…everything.  Its only then that we will suggest locations for their engagement sessions because we want it to be a reflection of who they are.  So, when we found out that Lauren is a Harry Potter fan, we knew just the perfect spot for their engagement session.

So, funny side story… we’ve never considered our camera shutters to be loud.  In fact, we hardly even notice the sound that it makes when we click the button.  But its funny how that little thing can sound like a sledgehammer hitting a wall when you’re at the library.  We’re sure the magnitude of the sound was all in our heads because Lauren and Paul didn’t seem to notice.  They were to busy being awesome.  These two had the best chemistry and natural camera instincts.  It was so much fun to photograph them and we are on pins & needles for their wedding.

Lauren and Paul, congratulations on your engagement, finally being in the same place after all this time and for everything that the future holds for you two.  We are beyond excited to share in your special day!!

And Then There Was One…{Liz & Robbie, Temecula Styled Wedding Photography}

We LOVE shooting weddings.  We really, really do.  We love everything about them.  We love all of the planning that goes into them, we love pretty shoes and vintage dresses.  We love the roller-coaster of emotions and we love our couples.  We love shooting at different venues each weekend and meeting different people.  So, when we got the opportunity to shoot at The Humphrey’s Estate for the first time we were thrilled.  Not a normal happy thrilled but a full blown jump up and down thrilled.  We had heard on many occasions how beautiful it was over at The Humphrey’s Estate but we had never gotten to experience it in all its glory.  And man…was it glorious.

Every where we turned we were blown away by it beauty and there was no better couple to spend the day with than Liz and Robbie. You may remember them from their engagement session that we did with them over in Old Town Temecula.  They put so much of their heart into their wedding that we were honored to share in their day.  They even had their wedding styled by our amazing stylists, Renew’d Styling, with the cutest vintage furniture scenes!!

Liz has got to be one of the most beautiful brides that we have ever met…both inside and out she is stunning!!

Their outdoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful.  Our favorite part was when they took communion together as married couple.

Congratulations, Liz & Robbie!!!  We had so much fun celebrating your love with you all.

A Perfect Day to Fish {Liane & Brad, Lake Oak Meadows Styled Wedding Shoot}

Liane and Brad are that couple that are just SO much fun to be around.  Spending time with them on their wedding day hardly felt like work at all.  Their entire day was just loads of fun and we were so excited to be there with them.   Not only was every detail of their day absolutely perfect…but they came up with some really great scenes with our stylists.  We LOVE it when couples think outside the box and create scenes that are unique to them and fit their personality.  Liane and Brad’s fishing scene was just that…absolutely perfect in every single way.

Great shoot Leah! You should enter them in a photo contest :)

A Styled Equestrian Picnic {Sarah & Omar, Murrieta Horse Engagement Session}

One of our favorite things to do is shoot styled engagement sessions and wedding portraits.  Styled sessions are when our professional stylist work with our clients to come up with a photography scene (jammed packed with props and tiny details) for them to use during any of their portrait sessions.  We include this service in all of our wedding photography collections because they are just SO much fun and take your portraits to a whole other level.  So, when Sarah and Omar wanted to have a picnic inspired engagement session, we were all about it.  But then- to our surprise- Sarah mentioned that she would be bringing her horses to the shoot.  Um, YES PLEASE.  For those of you that have been following us on Facebook for a while, you might remember us asking to “borrow” a horse for a shoot.  Well, long story short…we were unable to get the horses on the shoot and we added a horse to our wish list.  Then, out of the blue…wish granted.

Our favorite thing about Sarah and Omar was hearing all about Omar’s wedding proposal.  Here is how it went according to Sarah, “So I have to set everyone up for how I was feeling! On Thanksgiving, my Aunt and cousins all thought “it” was going to happen. The big proposal and when it didn’t I was thinking that’s okay it will happen on Christmas… Christmas day came and went and no ring… So I was like “yes, he is probably going to do it one New Years!” Nope nothing!  I was talking to my mom ( we are super close SO I would know if he was even asking my parents) she point blankly said “Omar, hasn’t asked or said anything Sarah. You just need to calm down it will probably happen on your birthday or Valentines day” I accepted that as true.  So we went to the mountains for a couples weekend get away. Just the two of us. We spent the days lounging around and walking in the town of Lake Arrowhead. On the 2nd of January we went to Big Bear to ski and snowboard. I spent most of the day at the lodge ( I am not a cordinated skier whatsoever) That night we were both exhausted. We decided to pop open some bottles of wine we brought and do some different samplings with food. At some point between the wine and the laughs Omar said “close your eyes, I want you to try something but you have to guess what it is” I like these kind of games guessing tastes and flavors. Finally he said “babe open your eyes” To my surprise he was on his knee with the ring. “Will you marry me?”  I was speechless! (He has the whole thing on video!)”

Sarah and Omar!! Thank you all SO much for helping us check off horses from our wish list!!  We are SO excited for your wedding!!

The Day to Day Kind of Love {Tiffany + Aaron, Grocery Store Engagement Session}

When we first met our husband’s it was SO exciting!!  Everything about our relationship was new, adventurous and fun.  But there comes a point in every relationship that the “new and exciting” turns into the day to day.  The day to day chores and responsibilities….that all of us have to deal with.  And we believe that its in that day to day where love is found.  Its when you find someone that you can go to the grocery store with and it feels like your first date.  Its where you can stay in and watch a movie while drinking wine.  Its when the day to day wouldn’t be the same without each other.  Tiffany and Aaron have that day to day kind of love.  They LOVE spending time with each other and are best friends.  So, when we asked them if they would want to have part of their session at a local family owned supermarket, we were thrilled that they said, yes!!

Aaron and Tiffany were so much fun to hang out with.  We could totally tell that Aaron was crazy about Tiffany just by the way he looked her and she at him.

Tiffany & Aaron, we are SO excited for your wedding over at The Humphrey’s Estate this summer!!  Thank you all so much for having us be a part of your day!!

Rustic Charm {Sarah & Daniel, Temecula Wine Country Photographer}

Sarah and Daniel got married over at Longshadow Ranch located in Temecula, CA.  Our favorite thing about Longshadow is it’s rustic charm.  Between the stables, horses, tractor, barn and vineyards…there is plethora of amazing portrait spots.  We could probably shoot there 100 times and still find new spots!!  Sarah and Daniel were so much fun to work with and they had such an incredible style.  Plus, they were crazy about each other…and that always makes for a great day!!

Thank you all so much for having us share in your special day!!
